An Awesome Opportunity.......

I am going to CHICAGO.....Yippee! I haven't been this excited in such a long time. I stumbled across an opportunity to teach customers how to use the Cricut Expression and the Cricut Cake from Provocraft. I thought what a perfect job for me, I wonder if I can get hired. (Expression pictured below)

It was a such long process, with background checks, drug testing, I thought I would never hear the words you're hired. I couldn't believe it! The company will be shippig me the products of supplies to play and train with......Holy Moly! The best part is that I leave tomorrow morning for 4 days to Chicago for the Cricut Training Convention, all expense paid, flight, hotel, and the best part....I will have my own room.......Yippee =) We will also be trying Chicagos famous deep pan pizza, and visiting the local scrapbook store that will be open late for us.

There will be lot of training packed in those days, and about 200 demonstrators from all over the USA and Canada are attending. We will be staying at the Hilton which is right next to the O'Hare airport. Right now its about 2 in the morning and silly me is still working on these cute little cards that I will be swapping with other demostrators. I can't wait to see what they come up with, and bring home.

During the training, they will be teaching us how to use the Expression, Gypsy, the new Cuddlebug, and the latest thing to hit the market the Cricut Cake.........I'm in heaven! The Cricut Cake is similiar to the Expression but you will be able to decorate cakes just like those pretty ones they sell for hundreds of dollars. How cool is that.

I will be teaching @ the local craft store in Chino on Sundays for the next 2 months, and if all goes well, the job will contnue through the holidays and we will recieve the new product they will be introducing later this year. So come on by and say hello to me, I will be starting next Sunday. I will update you on what I learned when I get back.........Now off to the Windy City, wish me luck.

Huntington Beach Layout

How fun was this day at the beach. It as such a beautiful day in Huntington Beach, Ca. We had tons of fun and the weather couldn't be more perfect. I must have took well over 100 photos of Nicholas, his girlfriend Melissa, and my 2 youngest boys Vincent & Diego running and playing in the freezing cold waves.

I love these 2 images I caught of Nick & Mel holding on to dear life because they knew that the water that was about to hit them was very cold. Dont you wish that you were young and carefree again? I do.

For this layout I used Creative Imaginations paper line by Christine Adolph, I love it. The flowers are of course by Prima, ribbon by Making Memories, green pearls by Kaiker Kraft, and the cardstock by Bazzil.

Have a fabulous weekend........see ya soon!

Tribute To My Dad

Lately I have been missing my Dad so much, he has been gone for 13 years, and I had so many photos of him given to me by my Uncle Fernando. So I thought maybe I should put together an album for my boys to and family to enjoy. I also included a picture of my grandparents who were married in February 1936.
I found this cute little chipboard album at Michaels, and then started to look for paper that would work well with my old photos.
I walked in to my LSS Hearts N Crafts in Covina, CA and found a new line that they just gotten in by Bo Bunny called Mama-Razzi and the aged antique look of the paper was perfect for my project. Bo bunny never fails to amaze me with thier designs.

Christmas In Spring

I love it when it is overcast outside. It makes for great pictures. I have been lately into making Christmas cards in non-traditional colors, and here is my take this week.

The tag is from Jeni Bowlin, aren't those little birds adorable? I added glittler by Stickles, it sure makes them sparkle, and I like sparkley things. (Is sparkley a word?)

I have a few more Christmas cards I am working on, stay tuned.............

Cuteness alert! Lil Monster

How cute is this little monster? I made it from scraps left over from some Halloween cards I was working on. It is a band aid tin that I wrapped printed paper around it, added a dimensional sticker, some wording, and tons of ribbon.
